The National Standardization Technical Committee for Plastic Products (SAC / TC48) was established by the former State Bureau of Standardization (now the National Standardization Administration Committee). in 1984. SAC / TC48 is responsible for the management of national and industrial plastic products standards, including standards developing and revising, and undertake the technical counterparts work for ISO/TC61/SC11 Plastic-Products Sub-Technical Committee, ISO/TC61/SC10 Plastic-Foam Sub - Technical Committee, and ISO/TC138 Fluid Delivery Plastic Pipes, Fittings and Valves Standard Technical Committee. The committee is the highest technical institutions for Chinese plastics industry standardization. SAC/TC48 consist of SC1 Plastic Products Sub-Technical Committee, SC2 Foam Sub - Technical Committee and SC3 Plastic Pipe, Fittings and Valves Sub - Technical Committee. SAC/TC48 Secretariat is Institute of Plastics Processing and Application of Light Industry.
